Step 7 / See whether it is worth continuing
Compare it with how you used to do things.
Don't aim for perfection on the first try. All you need to judge is: does this make things easier, and can you confidently edit and use the agent's results?
Pick 3 to 5 tasks you've already done and compare them briefly.
- Did it find the materials you would have used?
- Do the key points and citation locations roughly line up?
- Have assumptions been written as facts?
- Does the time you spend revising drafts decrease or increase?
- Does it really help you spend less time digging through materials and reorganizing?
If results are unsatisfactory, first supplement the materials, clarify the task or change the output format—don't rush to switch models. Once the same type of work runs smoothly multiple times, then consider codifying your frequently used prompts and steps into a Skill; at that point, compare which is more convenient and stable: a "regular prompt" or a "Skill."
