Agent orchestration

OpenClaw and business systems

When you need to connect consulting, sales, materials, and task progression, the underlying system must handle message intake, capability invocation, state recording, and continuous execution.

Why the underlying system matters

Many people see AI and only see a chat box; a system that truly enters the business must catch messages, call tools, execute across steps, retain context, and report when it's time to report — it can't just stop at "being able to answer." Otherwise, once leads come in, no matter how well you talked before, you still can't catch them.

System composition

Message entry points and permission control

Messages from Feishu, web pages, email or other entry points need a unified entry point and permission boundaries; otherwise, as processes multiply, the system quickly becomes chaotic.

Task execution and orchestration runtime

Where actions are executed. It decides whether the next step is to search, read materials, generate content, send a message, write a file, or keep waiting for a condition to appear.

Capability modules and external connections

The system can get work done because it has not only language ability, but also "hands and feet" — looking things up, editing files, sending messages, calling APIs, reading knowledge bases.

State, memory, and long-task mechanisms

When the sales process, pre-sales materials and business follow-up need to continue across days, the system can't lose its memory every day. State and memory mechanisms determine whether long-term work can be reliably sustained.

How it supports the business chain

  1. • Inbound consulting leads: the system first picks up the message and determines whether it is a consultation, a pre-sales inquiry, or a follow-up on an existing opportunity.
  2. • Materials and history are pulled up: the system reads existing customer background, past communications, cases, and FAQs.
  3. • Produce what's needed on the spot: when a reply, pre-meeting material, post-meeting summary, or supplementary explanation is needed, generate or organize it directly.
  4. • No follow-up action is lost: if something cannot be completed in one go, the system moves into continuous execution and follow-up reminders.
  5. • Write results back: write status, judgments and next actions back into messages, documents or internal records.

FAQ

Does it have to be very technical?

There is of course technology underneath, but what business users should care about more is: can it reliably handle inquiries, advance sales and supply materials — the names of the components do not matter.

Why can't you just use a single chatbot?

Because a chatbot can only chat with you on the spot, it cannot naturally carry state, tasks, external actions and long-term progress. Business systems need to connect all of these.

How does it relate to the lead–sales–presales chain?

Business results need underlying system support: messages can come in, tasks can run, status can be remembered, and results can go back.
